Helena Tyce Designs
Helena Tyce is a Nottingham based artist & illustrator, passionate about capturing memories and good times. Her work conveys warmth and sentimentality, tells stories and connects people.
She mixes hand drawn imagery, collage and print with skilful colour combinations and dynamic composition to create her distinctive pieces.
Inspired by folk elements of her Polish heritage, nature and all things retro, Helena has also been influenced by the French symbolists particularly for their compositional skills and their representation of deep meaning in their work. The Polish poster artist Ryzsard Kaja is also a favourite for his ingenious design and typographic mastery.
Helena’s work is also inspired very much by life being a keen runner, wild swimmer, music fanatic, dog owner all round fool and Mum.
She is lucky enough to be married to a writer, Steven Corbett, who creates the verses seen in her work – a modern day Pam Ayres if you will. Just like Grayson and Phillippa the work would not be the same were they not working together and using their joint creative super-powers.
Helena also works as an illustrator working with socially-minded organisations championing social inclusion, community engagement, education, creativity and health.
