Sue's Made Something
I first learnt to knit when I was a young girl and since then I’ve been obsessed with anything to do with wool and fabric crafts in general. Knitting, crocheting, sewing, dressmaking, quilting, you name it and I’ve probably done it. I also hand spin and dye wool from the fleece to the skein and often use this for a variety of projects. Some years ago I began needle felting and immediately fell in love with it. I was truly hooked and started to make Christmas elves for my grandchildren, each one unique and having its own personality. They loved them and still always get them out at Xmas.
This soon blossomed into me making wild animals too, which I thoroughly enjoy. After hours and hours of stabbing with needles it’s just such a joy to see them come to life before my very eyes as they near completion – I just love it!
Now retired, I have more time to devote to my crafts and have now been invited to become a guest artist at Cherrydidi.
I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do making them, there’s a little bit of me in each one!
