Fell View Felting - Cumbria

Felting handmade brooches, fridge magnets and box frames featuring the iconic Herdwick sheep and other animals such as alpacas, llamas and Highland cattle

I am a needle felting artist living in Cumbria and joined Cherrydidi as a guest artist in February 2019. I am inspired by the Cumbrian countryside and the creatures that live there.

I make handmade brooches, fridge magnets and box frames featuring the iconic Herdwick sheep and other animals such as alpacas, llamas and Highland cattle. My interest in photographing and drawing the many varieties of fungi found in Cumbria has also led me to create toadstool brooches.

All items are made from wool and some of them incorporate wool gleaned during walks in the Cumbrian countryside, along with donations from a local sheep farming friend.

The animals seem to develop their own personalities as I felt them, making each one unique. That is the magic of needle felting!
