Celebratory Christmas Chutney - AWARD WINNING - Bursting with festive fruits and spices - A truly festive chutney, packed with apricots, dates, prunes and Christmas spices. Fantastic with a cheese board and cold cuts.
Fig & Apple Chutney with Dark Rum - AWARD WINNING - A heroically hedonistic experience! Originally made as bespoke chutney for a customer wanting something to accompany a cheese board, its popularity and immediate appeal made it a permanent fixture on our product list. The figs and dark rum add a luxurious touch. We enjoy this chutney with stinky cheeses – the more stinky the better. Winner of Great Taste Award One Star Gold 2008.
Old Fashioned Plum Chutney - AWARD WINNING - The classic English chutney, perfect with a cheese board. Bursting with plums, Bramley apples, spices and wonderful flavour! Dark and richly spiced. Simply fantastic with Stilton, crispy celery and a large glass of port. We enjoy this chutney with all cheeses, cold cuts and savoury pies. Almost all of the stones are removed – but the odd one may remain as they are very hard to spot! Winner of Great Taste Award Bronze 2004.
Presented in a jute gift bag which is reusable & biodegradable.

May contain fruit stones.
Fig & Apple Chutney with Dark Rum - Ingredients: allergens in CAPITALS. Onions, malt vinegar (from BARLEY), figs dried 10%, apples 10%, raisins (in sunflower oil), sugar, demerara sugar, dates dried (in rice flour), dark rum 3%, spices, salt, acidity regulator: citric acid. MAY CONTAIN DATE STONES.

Claire’s Handmade began at home in 2003 with my mother’s treasured Aga jam pan, my grandmother’s plum chutney recipe, our Rayburn, some plums and a handful of glass jars. Our professional catering background gave us the knowledge to understand the various regulations, and Claire’s Handmade was born.
We took our Old Fashioned Plum Chutney to a local farmers’ market and customers loved it. We were delighted and inspired by the comments made that day by all the people that tasted our chutney.
It soon became obvious that we couldn’t produce enough chutney from our kitchen at home and so we moved into dedicated purpose-built kitchen. The business, in the heart of the north Cumbrian countryside on the edge of the Lake District National Park, has continued to grow and we have gained many loyal preserve-loving friends.
Over the years, we have won numerous ‘Great Taste Awards’, ‘Best Overall Preserve in the North West’ and the “Lake District Life Food Heroes Award’.

You can collect between 1.30pm-3.30pm from Cherrydidi Keswick on Fridays and Cherrydidi Ambleside on Saturdays. Please call 017687 71170 to confirm your time slot so we can keep everyone safe.
