InkBison

I am Gina of InkBison, where I turn my ink and water-cololur paintings into special gifts for you and your friends. I also create bespoke Indian ink pet portraits.

 I was born and bred on the island of Guernsey and I spent most my childhood drawing and painting.   At 18 I decided to further my studies in art off island and in 2000 graduated with a BA Fine Art honours degree from Cumbria College of Art and Design. It was whilst studying in Carlisle that I first discovered the joys of exploring in Indian ink, sprawled on large rolls of Fabriano paper creating ink mosaics. And being just down the road, I had my first introduction to the beautiful Lake District.

I continue with my explorations in ink, with an interest in animals and nature.  I absolutely love to paint animals, I believe they evoke such tremendous positive emotions.

 Getting InkBison off the ground has been an enormous step in my career as an artist, giving my creativity direction. I am currently based in Sheffield and am thrilled to still have the connection with  Cumbria and the Lake District with Cherrydidi!
