Martin Stephenson
“Trees are shaped by the wind and the land falls to the sea. In the country I was born”
The work of Martin Stephenson is inspired by the themes and forms of nature, the art and architecture of Dali and Gaudi and of course the Arts and crafts movement. Pieces often reflect a combination of these elements. Since starting in 1993 the work has continued to develop and evolve always attempting to please both hand and eye.
The timber used is all sourced either from storm felled local trees or from one supplier who is registered on the RPP scheme. An internationally recognised environmental due diligence system.
Martin lives on the edge of Exmoor in his native North Devon with his wife, two children, dog, cats, rescue hens and multitude of other wildlife that surrounds him!
