Nepal's Eight Highest Mountains - Gordon says 'While working in Nepal I managed to paint, sketch and photograph many parts of the Himalaya. If you look at the ten highest mountains in the world eight of them are in Nepal. I had painted, or sketched, all of them. During Lockdown I decided to take all of my sketchbooks and work up a painting of each of them. This is the collection'.

All eight images are painted with acrylic on board, except Annapurna 1 which is on canvas. All pictures measure 60x60cms and come in an off-white 3" wooden frame.

About Gordon - Gordon Davidson graduated from the Glasgow School of Art. He built up a reputation for making moody atmospheric paintings of the West Coast of Scotland.

In 2006 he produced his ‘around the world in 80 paintings’ exhibition ….and the rest, as they say, is history. Since then he’s been in demand for exhibitions from Kathmandu to Canada. He has produced work for the Peruvian government. the Nepal government, the Thai embassy and the Qatar embassy.

His work hangs all over the world in corporate headquarters, museums, embassies, private and Royal collections. He has appeared on TV on three continents… radio…books… magazines and newspapers. He represented Scotland at an international art Expo in Denmark and was the only UK artist invited to produce an exhibition for the “Nepal 2011 year of tourism” celebrations. Since then he’s returned regularly to work with the Gurkha run charity “Kalaa Jyoti” and the “Outlook world art project” to take art to poor and disadvantaged communities across Nepal.

He has painted the Andes, the Alps, the Atlas and the Himalayas as well as the Sahara and the Gobi desert, the Amazon and the Mississippi.
