Future Outlook

Future Outlook

Whilst in Arran we were fortunate to be introduced to Scottish artist Gordon Davidson who’s know for his breathtaking moody & atmospheric landscapes. Since leaving Glasgow School of Art, he has exhibited widely throughout Scotland and gained international recognition for his art.
He started ‘The Outlook World Art Project’ which takes art to poor and disadvantaged communities across the world. Gordon has worked with villages in Thailand, Peru and, for the past ten years, Nepal (a place very dear to Mrs H’s heart).
Having spent an afternoon with Gordon & being amazed with his art & stories, we are keen to work together. He would like to exhibit in the new gallery above Cherrydidi Keswick (finishing touches currently underway by Mr H!).
Of the 14 mountains above 8,000m in the world, 8 are in Nepal and Gordon is basing his next collection around these:
Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Annapurna, and Cho-Oyu - this is what’s coming to Cherrydidi!
This collection will raise money for the Outlook project - which is just wonderful. ♥️
We fell in love with this one of Gordon’s entitled ‘Tweed Hillside in Autumn, Sannox’ so have brought a little piece of Arran home to the Lake District!
‘Dhanyabad’ Gordon, lovely to be working with you.
Namaste 🙏
